In other dairy-related news, the Irish Government has come up with an innovative approach to the fiscal crisis: free cheese for the people. I do feel slightly sorry for the Agriculture Minister Brendan Smith (now dubbed the Marie Antoinette of Cavan) as this cheesy scheme has apparently been running for a while, but he decided this week would be a good time to mention it on Morning Ireland. The comments came in thick and fast: 'Brie-lliant news ... That's emmental!'
