The Marino Waltz
Ahh. Another classic Irish ad. The tune is known as the Marino Waltz. Marino is a suburb of Dublin, and the tune was composed by John Sheahan of The Dubliners. Why he called it the Marino Waltz I don't know. I can't think of anything else to say about this one. But really, what more do you need?
Very tempted to stay in and light a fire tonight instead of going out. (I am in the unusual position of living in a sixth floor apartment in Dublin with a proper fireplace.)
The power of advertising ... I recently saw a picture of a chocolate cake online and instantly wanted one. Your place sounds wonderful, don't tell me it's a Georgian building as well or I will have to come and camp on your doorstep.
No, it was built about 25 years ago. It is in Ranelagh tho which probably earns me a kicking. Dublin is so low rise that there is very little this height nearby and the views are fantastic. Essentially this is why I never bought a place in the last few years so it saved me from the negative equity trap.
