Things happen after a Badedas bath

When it comes to beauty products and bath and shower things, I tend to switch it around depending on inclination and funds - Nuxe Creme Nirvanesque and Bumble and Bumble Seaweed shampoo one week, Nivea and Herbal Essences the next. But there is one thing I'm totally loyal to and that's my shower gel. It has to be Badedas.

It's been around since the seventies when there was that infamous ad - 'Things happen after a Badedas bath' (the things generally involved men on horseback rearing up (hem) in the middle of the woods, or bursting in with swords (hem) waving). It's just gorgeous. Supposedly it's made with extract of horse chestnut - who knows what that smells like but the smell is sort of woody and ferny, like you imagine a nymph would smell after a quick dip in a forest waterfall ... Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely my shower gel of choice (though I've never really taken to it for the bath). I live in fear that it will be discontinued - maybe I should stockpile it now.

What about you? Do you have a favourite shower gel - or have things happened to you after a Badedas bath?

  1. Where do I get this shower gel? I really want to try it now!!

This one is my favourite. I'm only allowed to use it after runs! (so it will last longer!) It's such a gorgeous refreshing scent.

  3. Charlotte, pomegranate sounds extremely nice ... Phil, Badedas is in Superdrug and Boots, for about £2.50 for 200mls. I have to admit I love l'Occitane too - adore their Amande Douce shower oil, I could be unfaithful to Badedas with that!

  4. I live in South Africa and would like to know who markets Badedas here.
Is there anyone who can help me with this.
Or in the UK they could help me with that also

  6. Hi. This is many years after your original post but as a huge Badedas fan myself who's seen it slowly disappear in the states, I can tell you that Vitabath Original Spring Green is nearly identical to Badedas and may be the same thing in new packaging.
